About JobEng
What is JobEng?
JobEng is one platform for running a UK engineering or construction firm: recruitment with AI matching and technical skills assessment, HR, payroll, finance and invoicing, tenders and bids, contracts, CRM, project management and compliance, with AI agents working across the modules. Engineers, technicians, graduates and students use the same app to find jobs, build a profile and apply. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web.
Who is JobEng for?
Two groups. Engineering and construction firms in the UK — consultancies, contractors and subcontractors from a single hiring manager to a team of fifty — and the engineers who work for them or want to: civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and site engineers, technicians, graduates and students.
Who built JobEng?
Salah Ibrahim, a civil engineer with 29 years in construction and contracting, through his company Sesysy Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 15828843, Leicester). It was built as the operational system he wanted in every firm he worked in, not as a software company’s product. See the About page.
Is JobEng only for the United Kingdom?
It is built for the UK: UK contract templates, UK payroll, UK jobs by city, UK GDPR and registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office. The app can be downloaded elsewhere, but the jobs, templates and pricing are for the UK market.
Where can I use JobEng?
On iPhone (App Store), on Android (Google Play) and on the web. The whole platform is in the phone app — approve a pay run from a site visit, check a tender deadline, review an applicant’s submitted work or call a client.
For engineering firms
What does the firm platform include?
Hiring (job posts, skills assessments on real work, interviews, offers), HR (team, leave, documents), payroll, finance (invoices, payment applications, retention tracking, cash-flow forecasts, expenses), tenders and bids, contracts with UK templates, CRM and sales, projects (milestones, progress photos, site diary, QA/QC and snag lists, monthly reports), compliance (certificates, inductions, audits, expiry tracking), an AI construction workspace for drawings, take-offs, bills of quantities, specifications and RFIs, document control, client and subcontractor portals, video meetings with automatic minutes, an AI receptionist, and daily branded social posts.
How does hiring work on JobEng?
You post a role; JobEng matches candidates by skills, experience and location and ranks them; shortlisted candidates complete a technical assessment based on real engineering work, which is checked and scored automatically; you then run interviews and send offers inside the same pipeline. The aim is a shortlist in hours rather than weeks, with evidence of ability rather than a CV alone.
How does the technical skills assessment work?
Candidates are given tasks that reflect the actual job — calculations, drawings, quantities, method or specification questions — and their answers are checked automatically with point-based scoring. Candidates can also attach work they have already done. You see the scored evidence next to the application, so the engineers who can do the work are not filtered out by keyword matching.
Do we have to replace our existing software to use it?
No. The modules share one database, which is where the benefit comes from, but you can start with one — hiring is where most firms begin — and bring HR, payroll, finance or projects across when you are ready.
How many users can a firm have?
Single Professional is for one hiring manager, Team Starter for a small team with a shared pipeline, and Team Enterprise covers the whole platform for up to 50 users. Larger firms can e-mail info@jobeng.ai.
Can we try JobEng before paying?
Yes. Every new firm account starts with a free month of Team Enterprise — the full platform, up to 50 users. Register in the app with a business e-mail address; no card is taken and nothing renews. See the free month.
For engineers and students
Is JobEng free for engineers?
Yes. The Free plan is free for as long as you like: build a profile, attach your work, complete technical assessments and apply for roles. Professional (£19.99 a month) and Professional Plus (£39.99 a month) add priority matching, the professional toolkit and career development and portfolio tools, and every new engineer account starts with a free month of Professional Plus.
What do engineers get in the app?
UK engineering jobs by role and city with match scores, an ATS-scored CV and a master profile reused for every application, application and interview tracking, contract and freelance work, graduate schemes and internships, Academy courses, CAD drawings on the phone, and a professional network.
Does it cost anything to apply for a job through JobEng?
No. Applying for jobs, completing assessments and attending interviews are free on every plan, including the Free plan.
Can I delete my account and my data?
Yes, at any time: Settings → Delete account in the app. Your data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days. Full details are on the data deletion page and in the privacy policy.

Data, security and AI
Where is our data stored, and is JobEng GDPR compliant?
JobEng’s servers are in the United Kingdom and it operates under UK GDPR; Sesysy Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. For a firm’s own data about staff, applicants, clients and projects, the firm is the controller and JobEng the processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Some AI providers process data in the United States under the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Full details: privacy policy.
Is each company’s data kept separate?
Yes. Every request is checked against a signed-in session and the company it belongs to, each company’s data is kept separate, all traffic is over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, backups run daily and staff access is limited.
Does the AI make the hiring decision?
No. The AI matches, ranks and scores assessments; the decision to interview, shortlist or hire is made by the employer, who sees the evidence behind every score. Candidates have the right under UK GDPR not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, and the privacy policy explains how to exercise it.
How do I get support?
E-mail support@jobeng.ai for help with the app or info@jobeng.ai for anything else, including a 15-minute walk-through for a firm. Questions are answered by the people who build JobEng.
